Like many others have already suggested, take lessons. One avenue to explore (which won't cost you nearly as much) is to sign up for a clinic. You will have one lesson a week with some other people at the same time. Learn the fundamentals CORRECTLY before bad habits get ingrained into your swing. One more thing. Don't watch those horrible internet lessons. A swing is like a snow flake. There are no 2 alike. A professional will be able to guide you to a better swing to suit your physical abilities.

It is different for OB and hazards
If ANY PART of the ball is in bounds, the ball is considered to be in bounds. So, the ball can touch the OB line or stake and still be in bounds. Even if it is MOSTLY OB, as long as some part is in, the ball is still in. (And you can legally stand OB to hit it)

It is the opposite for hazards (both lateral (red) and the ordinary (yellow)) If any part of the ball touches the hazard (line or stake) the ball is in the hazard.

But, since you can choose to play a ball from a hazard, this doesn't really matter much. So it is technically touching the hazard line, and you are technically in the hazard. You can still play it is you want to, or you can take the one stroke penalty and take your drop.

BTW it is legal to pull out a hazard stake if it is in the way of the shot (just replace it afterwards). It is NOT legal to move an OB stake.

In the movie "The Legend of Bagger Vance," I compared Bobby Jones' swing to this one, and I found one major difference. In the movie, he doesn't lift his left heel at all. In my humble, opinion, I'd say Hollywood may have erred on this one. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself. Then, report back.

well most High schools will let most kids play if ur good enough...but not nessiarly in tournaments and games (or whatever they're called). Lifting weights is a good idea...but my friend beat the Wisconsin state record last year and he's a twig...college...oh man...good luck...thats even more hard...my suggestion...have fun with it in HS and in college (join a rec. group that does it for fun not competition) and just enjoy the sport...its hard to go pro or even get into a college golf.....study and get good grades is the way to go...not sports.

Probably not much, if they were just a standard set of clubs. The technology race (and 6 month to year equipment turnover) has really devalued older models. If they used to belong to someone famous, however, that would change things...

All sounds very plausible , but if you stop this video at the top of the backswing ( when you demonstrate the technique ) the arms are way above the shoulder plane, as in the 2plane swing , and then your arms fall straight down , so is this video incorrect , or are you unable to swing as you describe the 1plane action should be.
