People travel across the world just to see ‘beautiful nature’ and go hiking amongst the trees in New Zealand – more than the number of people who go there to play golf – so for local tourist opportunities in other countries too, it makes sense to plant more trees, and reduce, reuse and recycle old golf courses.

Golf courses will never be illegal because they bring in a lot of money.
so according to your statements, traveling to New Zealand will also be illegal? since you stated that more people travel there (from around the world=flight) to see nature. In the previous paragraph air travel was one theory you had as to global warming thus making only logical (according to your theory) that traveling in general should be illegal. In this even, humans will be subject to zoned living and only travel by foot, limiting their ability to see many places thus in reality eliminating any real reason to even save the planet if we are all stuck in our homes.
To answer you more specifically, no golf courses will never be illegal. not every course is a links course (courses with little or no trees). Many courses are full of trees (unfortunately for my slice at times) so they are no different than a farmers filed surrounded by woods.
I think this is a great argument though, very funny. You should start an organization for reclaiming golf courses and to stop cow ******* (what a great T Shirt that would make)
To start with New Zealand is not a big golfing nation,so there goes that example.Secondly golf courses are good for the environment.
Golf courses are some of the only green spaces left in some major inner-city areas. Additionally, many golf courses already practice green-sensible management. Why do away with a beautiful sport that can involve your children. Want to do away with something, how about parking lots and indoor malls. Make them pedestrian malls!

Computers require the use of electricity, electricity that is generated by burning coal, which is depleting the ozone layer.
Save the world! Take your computer to the recycle center (you should walk to get there), and never buy another one.
While you are at it, no more athletic shoes, they use paints and plastics, no more clothes because the dyes contain petroleum products, no more food because the tractors use fossil fuels, as do the trucks that transport the food. If you want to save the world, the best thing to do is to not consume anything at all, just walk ***** into the forest, don’t eat or drink anything and waste away until you become one with nature.

GOLF is a great game dont even ask
as soon as people stop liking money you wont see anymore golf courses…dont hold your breath
but the land will not be returned to native trees it will instead be turned into a parking lot or the like because people like their money

this statement is so ludicris i dont know where to begin.
firstly even if you were to fill every inch of a golf course not already occupied by trees with more trees the extra amount of oxygen would be so minimal that it would likely not be measurable.
second. since I am one of those hippies that travel to places to enjoy the nature i know for a fact that we do not spend much money in the places we travel, after all how much can you spend whislt hiking in a national park. And what money is spent is minute in comparison to the money golf tourism generates.
3rd. golf courses are already “green” friendly places, most of them dotn not use harmfull pesticides, and are in fact sanctioned wild life refuges. and on top of that, the golf courses in areas where trees naturally grow retain the majority of the trees on the land, as opposed giving it to “natives” who would likely develope the land or at least use it for farming governement subsidised corn.
i now feel foolish for spending thought on a ridiculas statement that did not warrent an answer

Uhhh….. i think i still like golf courses. Its quite relaxing. I would agree with you in some parts in your argument but…. without golf courses, its like saying you’re gonna ban football fields forever…… sorry im not much help. =(
