Well I am joining golf because I want to try I new sport and it seems interesting.
For the first three weeks of practice I still need to buy clubs, shoes, and all new clothes which we are struggling to afford.
After 3 weeks they only keep 12 people on the team so if I get cut we just wasted a ton of money.
I need some tips so I DO NOT get cut.
I am also I freshmen so the risk of getting cut is higher.
I never played golf so what are some tricks and good ways to practice.
Give me as much info as you can.
Are there any excesses I can do to make myself better.

For starters you need to check out the competition, If there are 12 or more experienced golfers trying out you have a poor chance. Golf takes years to learn for most people. 3 weeks is just not very long.
Best tips for a new player is hit it short and straight.
For now, good luck, but don’t get your hopes up.
Golf can take years to get good at, I would say your best bet is to stay at the course for as long as you can during the day and just hit balls, but remember to practice with a purpose. Practice aiming at targets and hitting different types of shots.
practice,practice,practice
congrats on starting to play golf team… try to talk to the coach of the team and ask if you can rent a pair and explain your situation. try target for clothes and golf gear like hats, tees, balls, gloves ect.
practice at the putting green, chipping, also ask the local course if you can help during the weekends for free range balls. if you don’t make the team ask the coach if he is willing to let you practice with the team because you want to improve…..
I am a high school golfer, i work at the local course so i don’t have to pay to play
Watch the Golf Channel, read books on technique and watch videos (rent from Library), take lessons, practice, practice, practice. It’s about feel and touch, timing and focus. Learn your short game chipping, putting it will save you the most strokes. Drive for show, putt for dough! Keep a positive attitude, stay focused on each shot and picture in your mind where you want the ball to go….not where you don’t want it to go! Have fun.
